Biography
Jared Nemitz has been working in the turfgrass industry since he was 16 years old. Discovering that he could turn his love for the game of golf into a life-long career he obtained his Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Purdue University. Jared also studied at The University of Aberystwyth in Wales, UK. While attending Purdue he authored/co-authored six scientific papers and over 28 scientifc abstracts, annual turfgrass reports and summaries.
Jared has worked on many exclusive golf courses across the world including The Kampen Golf Course (Dye) at Purdue University, The Chevy Chase Club (Ross) in Washington D.C., The Honors Course (Dye) in Ooltewah, TN, St. Andrews Links and Trust (Morris) in Scotland and The Ford Plantation (Dye) in Richmond Hill, GA.
Along with his work experiences, Jared has volunteered/assisted in tournament preparations for a NCAA Championship, British Open, U.S. Open, U.S. Mid-Amateur, U.S. Senior Amateur and other various PGA events.
Jared has also been invited to speak at various Industry Conferences and Associations across the United States and the world.
He is currently the Director of Golf Course Grounds at The Peninsula Club in Cornelius, NC. He oversees a 175+ Acre golf course, 10 acre practice facility and short game area, clubhouse grounds and the horticulture department.
Jared has been happily married to Rachael for ten years and has two children; Ainsley (2.5 years old) and a new baby boy, Gavin (3 months old).
